Shiftwave with Control Box – Setup & Use FAQ
What does the round BioDrive® button on the control box do?
The round BioDrive® button turns BioDrive® mode on or off.
When BioDrive® is ON, the chair’s vibrations sync with your heartbeat using the pulse oximeter (finger sensor). You’ll feel subtle rhythm changes as your heart rate rises and falls, a feature designed to deepen relaxation and body awareness.
When BioDrive® is OFF, the system runs normally, following the preset vibration pattern in the protocol you’ve selected.
Learn more in BioDrive® Overview and When to Use BioDrive® in Your Journey.
Can I use BioDrive® in any session?
Yes. BioDrive® can be turned on for any protocol on your control box.
When activated, it adjusts the vibration pattern in real time based on your heart rhythm. Some users prefer to leave it on for recovery or calming sessions, while others keep it off for more energizing protocols.
For tips on when to enable it, see When to Use BioDrive® in Your Journey.
How do I start a session on the control box?
- Power on your control box.
- Connect your headphones and make sure the chair’s power cable is securely plugged in.
- Use the touchscreen or knob to scroll through available protocols.
- Select your desired session and press Start.
- Adjust intensity or sound if needed, then sit back and let the system guide you.
You’ll see a countdown timer and progress bar during the session. The system automatically ends when the protocol is complete.
See This Is Shiftwave: Your First Protocol for what to expect in your first session.
How do I adjust intensity or sound?
- Intensity: Use the control knob connected to the armrest, or on the control box to increase or decrease vibration strength during your session. The change takes effect immediately.
- Sound: Adjust using the inline volume control on the control box, or on your headphone cable.
If your volume keeps resetting or the volume control isn’t working, check the cable connection, it should be the one with the inline control positioned closer to the headphones.
See Headphone Volume Stuck or Resetting for troubleshooting steps.
