Troubleshooting: Chair Only Vibrates When Pulse Oximeter Is Unplugged

If your chair only vibrates when the pulse oximeter (finger sensor) is unplugged, this usually means that BioDrive® is turned ON.

Why This Happens

  • When BioDrive® is ON, the chair vibrations sync with your heart rate.
    • The chair will only vibrate if the pulse oximeter is plugged in and on your finger.
  • When BioDrive® is OFF, the chair should run Protocols normally, even with the pulse oximeter plugged in.

Step 1: Check if BioDrive® is On

  • Look at the control box display.
  • If the BioDrive® light or indicator is active, the system is running in BioDrive® mode.

Step 2: Turn Off BioDrive®

  • Press the BioDrive® button on the control box to turn it off.
  • The indicator light should turn off, showing that BioDrive® is no longer active.

Step 3: Test the Chair

  • Start a Protocol with the pulse oximeter plugged in.
  • The chair should now vibrate normally, regardless of whether the sensor is on your finger.
