Upgrading from Shiftwave to Shiftwave Pro

If you already own a Shiftwave system with the Control Box, you can upgrade to the new Shiftwave Pro experience.

This upgrade allows you to connect your existing chair to the ShiftLink controller and use the iPad Control App and Mobile Companion App, unlocking new features, personalized tracking, and automatic updates.

Who Should Upgrade

Upgrading to Shiftwave Pro is ideal if you want to:

  • Control your sessions through an iPad app instead of the Control Box.
  • Access AI coaching to find the best protocols for your goals.
  • Track your sessions and metrics over time through the Mobile App.
  • Enjoy automatic software and protocol updates — no more manual USB updates.
  • Use Bluetooth or wired headphones of your choice.
  • Create individual user profiles for multiple people using one system.

If you love the Shiftwave experience but want more insight, personalization, and convenience, the Pro upgrade is a great fit.

What Comes with the Upgrade Kit

The Shiftwave Pro Upgrade Kit includes everything you need to convert your existing chair into the Pro system:

  • ShiftLink controller: connects your chair to the iPad
  • USB-C to AUX dongle: for connecting Shiftwave wired headphones
  • Access to IPad control app: A card with the QR code to download the IPad control app.

Who Cannot Upgrade

Most Shiftwave owners can upgrade to Pro, but there are a few exceptions.

You cannot upgrade if you:

  • Have an older Shiftwave model that doesn’t allow the ShiftLink to connect to the chair’s powercell.
  • Purchased the Slow Wave system, this model is not compatible with the ShiftLink hardware.

How to Upgrade

Upgrading is simple:

  1. Contact the Shiftwave Support Team to confirm your chair’s compatibility.
  2. Order your Shiftwave Pro Upgrade Kit.
  3. Once you receive your kit, follow the setup guide inside the box.
  4. Connect your ShiftLink controller to your chair and iPad.
  5. Download and sign into both the iPad Control App and Mobile Companion App.
  6. Start exploring your new personalized, connected Shiftwave experience.
