# What Is the iPad Control App?

The **Shiftwave iPad Control App** is where you select, start, and personalize your Shiftwave sessions. It acts as the **main control center** for your Shiftwave Pro system.

From the app, you can browse all available protocols, adjust your experience, and start sessions instantly, all with a simple, intuitive interface.

### **What the iPad App Is For**

The iPad app is designed to make running your Shiftwave sessions easy and customizable. Here’s what you can do:

- **Browse and search protocols,** find sessions for calm, focus, energy, recovery, and more.
- **Favorite your go-to protocols** for faster access later.
- **Adjust sound and vibration intensity** directly from the app.
- **Turn BioDrive® mode on or off** to sync vibrations with your heart rhythm.
- **View your session metrics** after each protocol ends.

Your results (like HRV or session scores) are displayed at the end of each session but are **not stored** in the iPad app.

### **Accounts and Profiles**

The iPad app allows multiple users to create and use their own profiles.  
Each person’s account can be **linked to the Shiftwave Mobile Companion App** so their sessions and metrics are tracked over time.

This makes it easy for families, clinics, or shared environments to manage their own experiences and data.

### **Guest Mode**

**Guest Mode** lets anyone try Shiftwave without creating an account.

- Guest sessions are not saved.
- HRV or Mini Lab metrics are **not tracked or stored.**

It’s perfect for demonstrations, shared use, or visitors who want to experience Shiftwave without logging in.

### **Protocol Updates**

 All Shiftwave Pro systems receive **automatic protocol updates** through the iPad app.  
When new protocols are released, they’ll appear in your library, no manual download required.
